The hogs on the offensive line will be protecting these pigs in a blanket. When you need a quick and easy appetizer, start the grill and roll these lil’ smokies into their dough uniform.

  • nonstick cooking spray, for greasing
  • 2 Tablespoon
  • poppy seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon
  • dried minced onion
  • 2 Teaspoon
  • dried minced garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon
  • coarse salt
  • 2 Tablespoon
  • sesame seeds
  • 1/4 Cup
  • Dijon mustard
  • 1 Can
  • (8 oz) Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls
  • 20
  • cocktail beef frankfurters
  • 1 Large
  • egg, lightly beaten
  • As Needed
  • Mustard or your favorite dipping sauce

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 350°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

    Grease a baking sheet with nonstick spray.

  • Step 3

    In a small bowl, mix together the poppy seeds, dried onion, dried garlic, salt, and sesame seeds.

    • 2 Tablespoon poppy seeds

    • 1 Tablespoon dried minced onion

    • 2 Teaspoon dried minced garlic

    • 1 Teaspoon coarse salt

    • 2 Tablespoon sesame seeds

  • Step 4

    Cut each crescent roll dough triangle into thirds lengthwise, making 3 narrow triangles. Brush the dough strips lightly with Dijon mustard.

    • 1/4 Cup Dijon mustard

    • 1 Can (8 oz) Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls

  • Step 5

    Place a cocktail beef frankfurter at the wide end of each dough strip and roll up. Arrange, seam-side down, on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with the everything seasoning.

    • 1 Large egg, lightly beaten

    Place the baking sheet on the grill grates, close the lid, and bake until the dough is golden brown, 12–15 minutes.

  • Step 7

    Serve with mustard or your dipping sauce of choice. Enjoy!
